Karlene "Kay" Malik

Karlene "Kay" Malik, 75, of Wedron, IL, passed away Monday, April 11, 2022, at Heritage Woods of Ottawa. A funeral ceremony will be at 5:00 pm Monday, April 18, at Ottawa Funeral Home, with Rev. Sherry Stevenson officiating. Visitation will be Monday, April 18, from 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm at Ottawa Funeral Home. Burial will be in DeBolt Cemetery. Karlene was born October 18, 1946, in Ottawa, IL, to Oliver and Eleanor (Huntley) Brooks . She married John "Jack" Malik on October 2, 1965 at St. Joseph's Church in Wedron. He passed away on February 15, 2018. She worked for many years at CTS Knights.  She loved spending time with her family and making memories with them. She and her husband made homemade wine and enjoyed sharing it with their friends. She is survived by her daughter, Sherri (Al) Weygand; her grandson, John Weygand; her step grandchildren & great grandchildren and her brother, Donald (Connie) Brooks as well as her Heritage Woods Family. Kay was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her two sisters Carole and JoAnn, and three brothers Dennis, Richard and Harry. Memorials may be directed to the family.
