Karen Krafft

Karen Krafft, 73, of Ottawa, passed away Monday, April 3, 2023 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center.

Visitation will be from 10:00am until 12:00pm on Monday, April 10, at Ottawa Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 12:00pm noon at Ottawa Funeral Home, with Rev. Duane Kaufman officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Seneca.

Karen was born June 28, 1949 in Ottawa, to Glenn and Eleanor (Tattersall) Caputo. She married David Krafft on October 26, 1968 in Ottawa. Together they have spent the last 54 years of marriage.

She enjoyed playing games on her tablet and was always up to watch a superhero movie. She was an avid reader, especially when it came to romance novels. She was very talented and played the organ and the clarinet. She also enjoyed going on lunch dates with her friends and weekly lunches with her kids. She would do anything for her children or grandchildren. She loved them more than anything.

She is survived by her husband, David Krafft; her children, David (Laura) Krafft II, Daniel (Christine) Krafft, Kelly (John) Olesen, and Brianna (Steven Billings) Krafft; her grandchildren, Brandon and Cheyenne Krafft, Johnathon Olesen, Kathryn Krafft and Addison Stapleton; and her siblings, Glenn (Kelly) Caputo Jr. and Kevin (Terri) Caputo.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Brad Caputo.
