Karen Bank

We are saddened to announce the peaceful passing of Karen Louise Bank on April 27, 2026, at the age of 62. Karen was born on August 19, 1963, in Naperville, IL, the beloved daughter of Edwin and Shirley (Scott) Bank.

Karen was deeply devoted to her family and friends, whose lives were brighter for having known her. Generous in spirit and boundless in kindness, she consistently placed the needs of others before her own, leaving behind a legacy of selflessness and love that will not be forgotten.

She is survived by her fur babies, Luna, Jimmy, and Squeakers; her partner, Pete Rodriguez; her brother, Ed Bank; her nephew, Johnny; as well as numerous friends and family. She is preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Shirley; her sister, Dena Bank; and her sister in law, Lydia Bank.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 2, from 10:00am until 12:00pm at Ottawa Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 12:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in Little Woods Cemetery, Dunham Rd., South Elgin, IL.
