Justin Ewers

Justin Michael Ewers, 26, of Shabbona, died Sunday, Dec. 9, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Columba Church with the Rev. David Kipfer officiating. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Ottawa Funeral Home and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Mr. Ewers was born Aug. 26, 1981, in Ottawa, to John and Darlene (Huss) Ewers. He married Kimberly Hedgepath on Sept. 15, 2001, at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Ottawa. Justin was a laborer for T. Manning Concrete Company of Huntley and was a T-ball coach. He was a graduate of Ottawa Township High School. He is survived by his parents of Ottawa; two sons, Cole Michael and Cody David; two brothers, Jacob (Catie) of Ottawa and Jason (Kathryn) of Waterman; and his paternal grandmother, Mary Ewers. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ben and Florence Huss; and his paternal grandfather, Frank Ewers. Pallbearers will be Jim, Jason and Jacob Ewers, Bill Kline, Ruben Dittmer and Jeremy Whiteaker.
