Jurgen E. "Bud" Dammann, 89, of Ottawa passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at Ottawa Regional Hospital and Healthcare Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:30 AM Friday, January 6, 2012 at St. Patrick's Church with Rev. Joseph Donton officiating. Visitation will be 9:00 -11:00 prior to services Friday at Ottawa Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oakwood Memorial Park. Jurgen was born October 4, 1922 in Ottawa, Illinois to Jurgen G. and Margaret (Brady) Dammann. He served in the WWII in the Army Corps of Engineers. He was retired from LOF in 1986. He married Florence Wielgopolan October 7, 1950 at St. Mary's Church in Naplate. He is a member of St. Patrick's Church in Ottawa and American Legion Post 33. He is survived by his wife, Florence; two sons, David (Lynda) of Lombard, IL, and Dennis (Patti) of Naperville; one daughter, Carol (Kraig) Pitstick of Ottawa; seven grandchildren, Michelle and Brad Pitstick, Kimberly Gossett, Kevin, Megan, Kristin, and Nicole Dammann; and one great-grandson, Jeffrey Gossett. He is preceded in death by his son, Jerry Dammann; one brother, Ralph Dammann; and one sister, Martha Murry. Memorials may be directed to St. Patrick's Church Adoration Chapel.
