June K. Tershowski, 82, of Ottawa, Illinois, died Monday, June 6, 2011, at Ottawa Regional Hospital and Health Care. Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM Saturday, June 11, 2011 at Oakwood Memorial Park with Rev. Donna Trinko officiating. Visitation will be 9:30 - 11:00 AM Saturday, June 11 at Oakwood Memorial Park. Entombment will be in Shrine of Rest Mausoleum at Oakwood Memorial Park. June was born on June 18, 1928, in Ottawa, Illinois to Goodman and Carrie (Udsten) Johnson. June married John Tershowski on October 29, 1948 in St. Louis, Missouri. She retired from Illinois Bell after 37 years as a Telephone Operator. She is survived by two sons John Jr. (Margaret) Tershowski of Clearwater, FL. and Tim Tershowski of Ottawa; one daughter, Kathy Tershowski of Tempe, AZ.; one granddaughter, Kaia Tershowski; and one sister, Betty (Rex) Wernstrum. She is preceded in death by her husband, John; two brothers, Floyd (Esther) Johnson and Vernel Johnson; and four sisters, Ruby Beley, Mae Bruck, Delene Brue and Rosella Lawrence. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Evangelical United Methodist Church.
