June Nanouski

June L. Nanouski, 90, of Ottawa passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at LaSalle County Nursing Home. Funeral Ceremony will be held at 12:00 pm Thursday, August 25, 2016 at Ottawa Funeral Home with Pastor Grace Oh officiating. Visitation will be 10:00 am to 12:00 pm Thursday, August 25, 2016, two hours prior to service, at Ottawa Funeral Home. She will be buried in Phillips Cemetery in Streator. June was born June 16, 1926 in Streator, Illinois to Charles and Mary (Cossan) Burt. She married Michael Nanouski in Ottawa on August 17, 1968. She was a member of Evangelical United Methodist Church. June loved to cook and bake, no one ever left her house hungry. At Christmas time she enjoyed making numerous kinds of cookies and candies. She enjoyed playing bingo and going to the casinos. June also enjoyed singing and playing the piano for her family. She touched many lives and will be missed by everyone who knew her. She is survived by her children, Kathi Phillips, Victoria (Mark) Walter, Shelli Stillwell, David (Brenda) Kostman, Jim (Sheila) Nanouski, Michael (Karen Curtis) Nanouski, Nancy (Tom) Colborn; fifty-seven grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; and her special furry friend, Stella. She is preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Montress Shields; one son, Jeff Kostman; one daughter, Linda Nanouski Jett; one grandson, Chad Stillwell; and three son-in-laws, David Phillips, Joe Walter, and Ron Stillwell. Pallbearers will be Jeff Walter, Ronnie Stillwell, Erik Phillips, Tristan Kostman, Michael Nanouski, Lloyd Ludwig, Tom Thompson, and Bob Shields. Memorials may be directed to her family.
