June M. Barron

June M. Barron, 86, of Ottawa, Illinois, passed away Saturday, November 7, 2009 at Pleasant View. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM Thursday November 12, 2009 at St. Patrick's Church in Ottawa with the Rev. Philip Halfacre officiating. Visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 PM Wednesday November 11, 2009 at Ottawa Funeral Home with prayers at 4:00 and the Catholic Daughters of the Americas in attendance. Burial will be in Oakwood Memorial Park. June was born April 18, 1923 in Ottawa, Illinois to Joseph and Margaret (Law) Count. She was raised by her step-father Charles Dietman. She married Francis R. "Manny" Barron August 5, 1944 in Shreveport, LA. He died October 20, 1992. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church in Ottawa, the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, and loved to play bridge. She is survived by two daughters, Leslie Webb and husband Al Hutchins of Fort Worth, TX and Sally (Arthur) Rubino of Ottawa; one son Mark (Beth) of Ottawa; two grandchildren, Megan and Riley Barron; and a sister, Donna Gerding of Ottawa. June is preceded in death by her husband, Francis R. "Manny" Barron and a sister, Charlene Spaulding. Pallbearers will be Arthur Rubino, Al Hutchins, Riley Barron, Adam Schaibley, Jim Wiggs, and Dr. John Barron. Memorials may be directed to Pet Project.
