Julia A. Michels

Julia A. Michels, 97, of Ottawa, formerly of Johnsburg, Illinois, passed away on Saturday July 23, 2016 at OSF St. Elizabeth Hospital. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday July 26, 2016 at St. Francis of Assisi Church with Rev. Augusta Kassa officiating. Visitation will be at St. Francis Church one hour prior to the services. Burial will be private at St. Hyacinthis Cemetery, in LaSalle. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ottawa Funeral Home. Julia was born May 25, 1919 in LaSalle, Illinois to Joseph and Marie (Kaszynski) Noramczyk. She married James Bush on April 5, 1942; he passed away October 25, 1971. On December 21, 1975, she married Frank Michels who passed away November 7, 1989. Julia was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church, former member of the Blessed Virgin Mary Sodality, and St. Johns Keenagers. She is survived by two daughters, Karen (Larry) Windsor of Ottawa and Janice (John) Boyer of Portland, Oregon. She is preceded in death by parents; and husbands; and eleven siblings. Memorials may be directed to St. Francis of Assisi Church in Ottawa or St. Johns in Johnsburg.
