Judith A Walsh

Judith "Judy" Ann (Bruck) Walsh, 87, of Ottawa, passed away Thursday, April 16, 2026 at Pavilion of Ottawa with her family by her side.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 23, from 4:00pm until 7:00pm at Ottawa Funeral Home. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, April 24, at 11:30am at St. Columba Church. Burial will follow in St. Columba Cemetery.

Judy was born February 8, 1939, in Ottawa, IL to Vernon and Gladys (Serby) Bruck. She married Hank Walsh Jr on November 19, 1960 at St. Columba Church. He preceded her in death on March 17, 2008. She enjoyed family gatherings, taking rides in the country, and helping out at different events and fundraisers. She loved the beauty, scent, and arranging of flowers. She attended Ottawa City Council meetings for many years and attended mass every weekend until she was unable to. More than anything though, she enjoyed being with her family.

She is survived by her sons, Hank Walsh III and Craig (Beth) Walsh; her five grandchildren, Kelsey (Nick) Moersch, Kale Henry Walsh (Bridget), Monica McGill (Steve), Dan (Kate) Walsh and Joe Walsh; nine great grandchildren; her siblings, Karen Roth, Ken (Mary) Bruck, and Kevin (Lynn) Bruck; her sister in law, Mary Hazard; her cousin "sister", Ellen Geiger; her friend, Theresa Miller; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Gladys; her husband of 47 years, Hank Walsh Jr.; her sister, Sandy Malley; her in laws, Henry and Fran (Martin) Walsh Sr; and her brother in laws, Bill Walsh, Ron Hazard, Jim Malley, and Emmett Roth.

Memorial contributions in her honor may be directed to St. Brigid Parish or Marquette Academy.
