Judith Ann Armstrong, 84, of Ottawa passed away on November 16, 2024, at her home surrounded by those she loved.

Visitation will be from 4:00pm until 7:00pm on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at Ottawa Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7:00pm at the funeral home with Pastor John Nordstrom Sr officiating.

Judith was born on March 22, 1940, to William and Frances (Conkle) Cupples in Ottawa, Illinois.  She married Edward Thomas Kennealy in 1958, followed by Robert Armstrong in 1989.  Judy was the owner of Columbus Street Inn and Main Street Café both in Ottawa where her daughter, Cindy, was the cook.  They had many faithful customers.  Many of them still talk about the days they ate at “Judys”.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Armstrong of Ottawa; three daughters, Brenda Smith of Alaska, Cynthia (Lance) Hockenberry of Ottawa, and Kimberly (David) Johnston of Michigan; two sons, Raymond (Anna) Kennealy of Texas and Thomas (Michelle) Kennealy of Indiana; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Judy is preceded in death by her son, Craig Kennealy; her parents, William and Frances Cupples; three sisters, Rita Schaibley, Beverly Smith and Sherry Lynn McKenzie; and two brothers, Robert Cupples and William Cupples.
