Juanita Compton

Juanita Compton, 82, of Seneca passed away Monday, April 2, 2018 at Park Pointe Nursing Home in Morris.

Graveside Services were held Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at Mount Hope Cemetery with Rev. Duane Kaufman officiating.

Juanita was born May 21, 1935 in Charleston, West Virginia to William and Rebecca (Smith) Rogers. She married Luther Compton Sr April 9, 1955 in Lebanon, Virginia; he passed away June 11, 1996. In her free time she enjoyed reading, quilting, and crocheting.

She is survived by one daughter, Diane (David) Anderson; one son, Luther (Debbie) Compton Jr.; three grandchildren, Alicia (Martin) Bany, Erik (Jaymie) Anderson, and Curtis Anderson; two great grandchildren, Luke Bany and Joey Anderson; and one brother, Rob Rogers; five sisters, Mavis (Bill) Tomassion, Violet (Bob) Cook, Fredia (Gene) Mitchell; Jeanette (Carl) Borovicka, Linda Kay Rogers; two sister-in-laws, Donna (Ray) Galuszka, Phyllis (James) Compton; three close family friends, Bernice (George) Bradley, Robin (Joseph) Sanfratello, and Shannon Johnson; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Rebecca Rogers; her husband, Luther Compton Sr.; her siblings, Claude (Faye) Rogers, Earnest Rogers, Rosedell Rogers, Geneva McCarthy, Lillian (Jerry) Fern, and Buford (Glema) Rogers; and her sister-in-law, Gerry Dakin.

Pallbearers will be David, Erik, and Curtis Anderson, and Martin Bany.
