Joshua Jason Beardsley

Joshua Jason Beardsley, 35 years old, was born on June 6, 1991 and went to be with the Lord on September 6, 2026.

Josh as he was lovingly known as, was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. While attending UNLV and working as a runner for a legal firm was involved in a tragic motorcycle accident in 2011. Following the accident, his family moved him to Illinois, where he resided for the final years of his life.

Josh was a happy, charismatic person who loved joking around and making others laugh. He had a carefree spirit and a fondness for the outdoors and trying new things. From skateboarding to riding dirt bikes, Josh embraced life with a sense of adventure and a willingness to experience all that he could. Josh will be remembered for his beautiful smile, his easy-going attitude, and the special way he made those around him feel. His genuine personality and child-at-heart spirit, brought joy to the lives of those who knew and loved him. Though his time with us was far too short, the memories Josh created and the love he shared, will live on forever in the hearts of his family and friends.

Josh will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered. He is survived by his parents, Victoria Apperson and Jason Beardsley; his sister, Raven Gail (Mitchell) Cox; his nephew, Jensen Joshua Cox; and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, James Vicich, Gail Aldrich, and Ernest Sr. and Grace Beardsley; his uncle, Timothy Beardsley; his sister, Amanda Beardsley; and his stepfather, Daniel Apperson.

A celebration of his life will take place on October 24, 2026 at Heritage Christian Center, 900 Hitt Street, Ottawa, IL 61350. Visitation will be from 10:00am until 12:00pm, with a service to follow at 12:00pm; and a luncheon. Burial will be in Oakwood Memorial Park. Ottawa Funeral Home & Crematory has been entrusted with funeral arrangements.
