Joseph F. Ulrich

Joseph "Joe" F. Ulrich, 79, of Ottawa passed away Tuesday, September 2, 2008 at Ottawa Regional Hospital and Healthcare Center. Funeral Services will be at 2 P.M. at the Ottawa Funeral Home with Rev. Doug Williams officiating. Burial with full military honors will be at Oakwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be from Noon until time of services at the Ottawa Funeral Home. Mr. Ulrich was born on September 12, 1928 in Ottawa to Joseph F. and Gladys P.(Ingles) Ulrich Sr. He was raised by his step dad, Frank B. Johnson. He retired from Material Service and Nabisco of Marseilles. Joseph attended Lincoln Elementary and Ottawa High School. He served in the United States Marine Corp. during the Korean War and was a member of the VFW and American Legion. Joseph is survived by two daughters, Deborah (Kim) LeRette of Ottawa and Diane Listenbee of Janesville, WI; one son, Stephen of Costa Mesa, CA.; six granddaughters, Tiffany Ulrich and Nicole Ulrich-Hallam both of Mission Viejo, CA, Shauna Ulrich-Stanton and Alexis Listenbee both of Janesville, WI, and Emily and Bridgett Ulrich both of Ottawa and four great-grandsons, Dylan, Caleb, Jordan and Adrian. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Guy "Jr" Grady and Horace Johnson and two grandsons, Phontane Ulrich and Trevor Thomas. Pallbearers will be Frank Ladwig, Adam LeRette, Kim LeRette and Victor J. Robinson.
