Joseph Loper

Joseph M. Loper, 58, of Streator, died Wednesday, July 29, 2009 at his home. Funeral services will be 10:00 am Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at Ottawa Funeral Home with the Rev. Duane Kaufman officiating. Visitation will be 4-7 Monday, August 3, at Ottawa Funeral Home. Burial will be in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL. Joseph was born March 17, 1951 in Chicago, IL, to Herman and Mary (Fisher) Loper. He was a Salesman at Bill Walsh Automotive in Streator. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He is survived by a son, Jeff (Mary) Loper of Lansing; a daughter, Tara Loper of Orland Park; one brother, George (Phyllis) Loper of Valparaiso, IN.; two sisters, Nancy (Tom) Doornbos and Vicki (Leroy) Gatzke , both of Lynwood, IL. Joseph is preceded in death by his parents. Memorials may be directed to the family.
