Joseph Anderson

Joseph Anderson, 56, of Ottawa passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving daughters.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Joseph was born October 19, 1959 in Ottawa, Illinois to Floyd and Ann (Weygand) Anderson. He worked for the US Postal Service as a rural mail carrier. He was a member of St. Patrick's Church and Rawson Lake Campground. Joe had a passion for the outdoors; he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. He enjoyed spending as much time as he could with his girls, grandchildren, and friends.

He is survived by his loving daughters, Shannon Anderson Pryzbylski, Rebecca Anderson (Jason) Ward, Lacy (Michael Warren) Angel, Holly Anderson (Jeff) Crabbe, and Jayden Anderson; many grandchildren; his siblings, Sandy (Tom) Goetsch, Rick (Jan) Anderson, Steve (Ginger) Anderson, Rosean (Chuck) Morgan, Tim (Qin) Anderson, Jeff (Maria) Anderson, and Julie (Don) Farrell.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Pam Sutherland and Marylou Anderson; his brother Floyd “Butch” Anderson, and the love of his life and life partner, Tina Angel.

Memorials may be directed to his family.
