Jose Israel Serrano, III, also known as Bebe, 43, of Ottawa, formerly of Aurora, passed away Thursday, December 3, 2020 at his home.
Due to COVID restrictions, private family services will be held. Ottawa Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
Jose was born March 23, 1977 in Aurora to Norma Ibanez and Jose Israel Serrano II. He blessed everyone he met with his wit, wisdom, and warmth. He enjoyed building model warplanes and watching history and war documentaries. Jose was also a connoisseur and collector of rare sneakers.
He is survived by his father, Jose; his mother, Norma (Robert) Sandoval; his son, Jose Israel Serrano, IV; and his five sisters: Nicole (Daniel) Maldonado, Aisha (Alex) Barocio, Tanee (Juan Martinez) Serrano, Jade (Brian Jackson) Serrano, and Ryan (Juan Miranda) Serrano; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Memorials may be directed to his family.
