Jolene Svetz

Jolene (Jessen) Svetz, 65, of Oglesby, IL, passed away Sunday March 13, 2022 at her home.

Funeral Services will be at 6:00 pm Thursday March 17, 2022 at the Ottawa Funeral Home, with Deacon Daniel Goetz officiating. Visitation will be from 4-6 on Thursday prior to the service at Ottawa Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery on Monday, March 21 at 1:00 pm with Fr. Paul Carlson.

Jolene was born May 17, 1956, in Ottawa, IL, to Michael J. and Mary J. (Harris) Jessen . She married William Svetz on July 13, 1985 at St. Columba Church in Ottawa.

She worked as a CNA for over 30 years. Recently, Jolene owned and operated Bill's Express Shuttle Taxi from 2016 to 2021. She was a member of the Ottawa Moose .

She is survived by her Husband, William J. Svetz; two Daughters, Lacey Lynn (Toby) Steele and Sarah (Jeremiah) Parcher; and three grandsons, Wyatt Svetz and Landon and Logan Steele

Jolene was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Don and Tom Jessen.
