John Kuzmich

John Stephen Kuzmich, 60, of Ottawa, IL, passed away Friday, March 4, 2022 at his home.

A graveside service will take place on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at 11:00 am at Ottawa Avenue Cemetery. A celebration of  his life will follow. Ottawa Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.

John was born May 4, 1961, in Ottawa, IL, to Michael and Jacqueline (Jarman) Kuzmich. John graduated from Ottawa Township High School in 1979. After graduating from Ottawa High, John continued his education at Southern Illinois University. Since 1986, John worked as a Local 75 Journeyman laborer. In his free time, he loved to play sports, especially softball, basketball and baseball.

He is survived by  his son, Kyle Kuzmich; his two brothers, David and Bill (Priscilla) Kuzmich; and his three sisters, Diane Gaines, Barb (Mike) Davey, and Debbie (Kent) Purcell. John was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Michael Kuzmich; and his brother in law, Jon Gaines.
