John M. Hill

John M. Hill, 60, of Ottawa passed away Monday, August 10, 2020 at OSF St. Elizabeth Medical Center.

Private family services will be held. Ottawa Funeral Home & Crematory has been entrusted with arrangements.

He attended Marquette High School. He was a handyman and did many local jobs. He also worked for Jobst Monument Company. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. He enjoyed fishing, spending time outdoors, and watching the Chicago White Sox and Green Bay Packers.

Survived by daughter, Heather (Nathan) Dilley; two grandsons, Cashton and Donovin; four sisters, Pauline (Gary) Hefler, Dava Aussem, Lori (Norton) Stephenson, and Theresa (Jerry) Schott; one brother-in-law, Jerry Carey; and his loving dog, Jake.

Honorary pallbearers will be Donovin and Cashton Dilley, Jordan Schott, Ryan and Derek Schuke, and Charles "Choppy" Aussem.

He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Marie Hill; three sisters, Mary Anne Farrell, Sharon Carey, and Margaret McGrath.
