Joann C. Fleming-Stevens

JoAnn C. Fleming Stevens, 73, of Ottawa, Illinois, passed away Sunday, December 9, 2012 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Memorial Service will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 17, 2012 at Ottawa Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. prior to service at Ottawa Funeral Home. A private burial of remains will follow service for the immediate family. JoAnn was born in Ottawa, IL to Harry and Mary (Hanlon) Fleming on November 14, 1939. She was the loving mother of the late Ronald "Chief" Fleming. She was married to the late Gerald "Ace" Stevens, Sr. on September 20, 2002. She is survived by her brother, Harry "Pat" Fleming of Sheridan; a grandson, Cody Fleming and his mother Tammi Rideout of Ottawa; three nephews, Harry "Rick" Fleming of LaSalle, Gerald "Mick" Fleming of Ottawa, and John "Dick" Fleming of Ottawa; a niece Vickie (Fleming) Yacko of Grand Ridge; also many cousins, great nieces and nephews and friends she loved dearly. She is preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Mary Fleming; her son, Ronald "Chief" Fleming; and her husband, Gerald "Ace" Stevens. Memorials may be directed to the family to help with the medical expenses.
