Jessie Drake

Jessie Arnold Drake, 64, of Ottawa, died Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at his home. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 PM Saturday, February 19, 2011 at Ottawa Funeral Home, with the Rev. Peter Brick officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Memorial Park at later date. Visitation will be from 11- 1 pm, Saturday, February 19 at Ottawa Funeral Home with Military Services. Jessie was born January 23, 1947, in Wewoka, Oklahoma, to Roy and Pauline (Osborne) Drake. He married Sandra Stash on October 27, 1972 at St. Stephens in Streator. He worked at Ottawa Friendship Facility as a Workshop Director. He served in the US Navy 1966-1970. He will always be a Cubs Fan. He is survived by his wife; his mother; one son, Jason (Shellie) Drake; one Daughter Jessica (Wesley) Fairall; four Grandchildren, Dominic Drake, Noah Fairall, Kristen Fairall, Owen Fairall; four Brothers, Roy Drake Jr. Joel Drake, Roger Drake, Gary Drake; two Sisters, Darlene (Jim) Varney, Paula Kalina; and six brothers-in-law, Andrew (Jane), George (Carol), Gene (Christine), Ed (Debbie), Tom (Patti), and Danny (Rose) Stash. He was preceded in death by his father; and his in-laws, George and Viola Stash. Memorials may be directed to the family.
