Jessica Mcgregory

Jessica Elizabeth McGregory, 45, of La Salle, passed away Friday, April 19, 2024 at OSF St. Anthony's Medical Center in Rockford.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 27, from 12:00pm until 3:00pm at the Ottawa Lions Club, 501 Bellevue Ave, Ottawa, IL 61350.

Jessica was born October 4, 1978, in Ottawa, IL, to David and Laurie (Anderson) Haws. She married Shannon McGregory on June 7, 2003 in Pontotoc, MS. He passed away May 2, 2020.

Jessica loved all types of music and enjoyed dancing. She had a strong artistic ability and enjoyed doing many arts and crafts. She worked at Cookie Kingdom in Oglesby and always liked her work there. When she wasn't at work, she was raising her 4 step children whom she loved like they were her own. She was an animal lover and was always a foodie, she loved all types of pastas and trying new things.

She is survived by her mother, Laurie Haws; her significant other, David Hood; her step children, Christopher, Bradley, Amber, and Angel McGregory; her siblings, Terry (Jodi) Rich, David Yamacuchi, David (Arrate) Haws Jr., Jeremy Haws, Thomas (Della) Haws, and Michael (Kim) Haws; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, David Haws; her husband, Shannon McGregory; and her nephew, Kingston Lockett.
