Jerry Guysens Sr.

Jerry Guysens Sr., 73, of Ottawa passed away Sunday, November 27, 2016 at the Ottawa Pavilion.

Visitation will be from 10-11 am, Wednesday, November 30 at Ottawa Funeral Home, with Amazing Grace played at 11, ending the visitation. Burial will be private, following the visitation.

Jerry was born January 16, 1943, in Ottawa to Leo and Celina (Devine) Guysens. He married Jerilyn Shea December 8, 1962 at the Evangelical Reformed Church in LaSalle.

Jerry worked at Rudy's and Eagles as a meat cutter, and then retired from Libby-Owens-Ford after 28 years of service. He loved woodworking and fishing, especially in Wisconsin.

He is survived by his wife; two children, Jerry Guysens Jr. and Kristi Guysens; and two grandchildren, Olivia and Lauren Denny.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Leon, in infancy.
