OTTAWA -- Jerry Smith, 65, of Ottawa, died Wednesday, Oct. 24, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Ottawa Funeral Home with the Rev. Philip Halfacre officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday. Mr. Smith was born Oct. 14, 1942, in Ottawa, to Theodore and Ida (Cox) Smith. He was a waiter at many area restaurants. He is survived by a sister, Linda Wilson of Ottawa; and a brother, Maynard (Edith Jean) Smith of Ottawa. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Joan Stinekraus and Betty Manning; and three brothers, Walter, Harold and Dempsey Robinson. Pallbearers will be Houston Davis, Joe Claggett, Randy Smith, Brad Hughes, Chuck Neubaum and Don Mautin. Memorials may be directed to the family.
