Jeri Ann Foster

Jeri Ann Foster, 74, of Seneca, passed away Thursday, April 23, 2026 at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, IL.

Following Jeri's wishes, no funeral services will be held. Cremation rites have been entrusted to Ottawa Funeral Home.

Jeri was born April 24, 1951 in Des Moines, IA to Dale and Ruth (Bailey) Porter. She married Timothy "Tim" Foster on September 21, 1968 in a small, intimate service in Mitchelville, IA. Jeri and Tim moved all over for his work, but being raised in a small town, settled into Seneca when he retired and have lived a great life there. They enjoyed traveling all over the world and especially liked the north country in Northern Minnesota. She was a phenomenal cook and always had beautiful gardens. She loved her meditation garden and spent many hours there reflecting. She was a member of the Seneca Women's Auxiliary, a woman's sorority, and volunteered for many years with the Methodist Church after school program.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Tim; her son, Scott (Shelli) Foster; her grandchildren, Zoe and Alex Foster; and her sister, Jeannie (Dennis) Lane.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Dale and Ruth; her brother, Joe Porter; and her best friends, Kris Russman and Christi Smith.

Memorial contributions in her honor may be directed to Tunnels to Towers or Wounded Warriors.
