Jeremy Chad Wright

Jeremy Chad Wright, 24, of Putnam IL, passed away Monday, October 10, 2022 with his mother, step father, and sibling by his side, after a four year battle with cancer.

Funeral Services will be held at 5 pm, Saturday, October 15th, at the Ottawa Funeral Home.  Visitation will start at 2pm until the time of service at the Funeral Home on Saturday. Cremation rights will be accorded.

Jeremy was born September 25th, 1998 in Spring Valley IL, to Stephanie (Stull) Rohrer and Jeremy Wright.

Jeremy graduated from Serena High School, with the class of 2017.  He then attended the Morrison Institute of Technology with an Associates in Applied Science, with all honors.

He worked as a Detail Drafter with American Buildings Company-Nucor.

Jeremy was a smart, fun loving, empathetic, and generous kind of soul. Jeremy loved the world of fantasy and table top role playing games. He was a dedicated player in many long running campaigns as well as a beloved Dungeon Master,  writing and hosting Quests and campaigns for his friends.  He was committed to the local gaming community and was a regular attendee at Sheridan "Nerd Day" at the American Legion.  Jeremy had a unique ability to treat everyone he knew as if they were his best friend.

He is survived by his mother, Stephanie (Don) Rohrer; his father, Jeremy Wright; his sibling Hudson; Maternal grandparents, Steve and Phyllis Stull; Paternal grandmother Karen (Dean) Wright; Uncles, Curt (Kandy) Stull and

Jamey Wright; Cousins, Sidney and Nolan Stull, and Alec and Amanda Wright.

Jeremy was preceded in death by Maternal great grandparents, Ralph and Opal Cooper; Russell and Opal Stull; Paternal grandfather, Jerry Wright; Cousins, Debbie Stoops and Vince DeGiulio; and his beloved dogs Bailey and Snickers.

Memorials may be directed to Stephanie Rohrer, to be used as a yearly scholarship fund in Jeremy's name.
