Jennie L. Meagher

Jennie L. (Thiry) Meagher, 94, of Ottawa, Illinois passed away Thursday, May 24, 2018 at Ottawa Pavilion surrounded by her family. Funeral Services will be held at 2 pm, Tuesday, May 29 at Ottawa Funeral Home, with Rev. David Daniel officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oakwood Memorial Park where she will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband, Leo. Jennie was born December 12, 1923 in Ford City, Pennsylvania to Joseph and Elizabeth (Reitler) Thiry. She married Leo J. Meagher, Sr. on February 9, 1943; he passed away February 22, 2012. She was retired form Ottawa General Hospital. She is survived by two daughters, Donna (Ronald) McBride of Atlantic Beach, Florida and Jodee (Meagher) Wheeler of Marseilles; two sons, Leo J.(Cindy) Meagher, Jr. of Marseilles and Michael P. (Karen) Meagher of Atlantic Beach, Florida; eight grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her sister and brother.
