Jean Fiesel

Jean Fiesel, 81, of Ottawa, Illinois passed away Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at OSF St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Ottawa. Private services for family and friends will be Saturday, November 8, 2014. Visitation will be starting at 10:00 followed by the funeral service at 11:00 at Ottawa Funeral Home. She will buried at Ottawa Avenue Cemetery. Jean was born May 22, 1933 in Ottawa, Illinois to James and Mary (Brown) Edwards. She married William Fiesel on January 11, 1956 at St. Columba Church; he passed away December 14, 1998. She was a 1952 graduate of Marquette High School. She was a member of Ottawa High School Booster Club, Catholic Daughters of the Americas, and Marquette GAA. She helped coach the YMCA swim team with Kay Jevitz. She is survived by her children, Nancy (Tim) Watson, Joe (Sally) Fiesel, Bob (Lori) Fiesel, Tom Fiesel, Ed (Dorothy) Fiesel, and Katy (Kenny) Boaz; eighteen grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren with two on the way. She is preceded in death by her husband, William; and two daughters, Amy McGill and Suzanne Fiesel Memorials may be directed to her family.
