Jason Thompson

Jason A. Thompson, 37, of Ottawa passed away Thursday, January 5, 2017 at his home.

Cremation rites have been entrusted to Ottawa Funeral Home and Crematory.

Jason was born July 3, 1979 in Ottawa, Illinois to Michael and Brenda (Konrath) Thompson. He enjoyed playing pool and spending time outdoors hunting and fishing. He was a brilliant and inquisitive guy who loved history, science, and astronomy. In his free time he enjoyed playing with his dogs Ruby, Diesel, and Shyloh.

He is survived by mother, Brenda (David) Oakes; his father, Michael (Carol) Thompson; two children, Alex Thompson and Gerald Carpenter; six siblings, Jeremy Oakes, Mathew Oakes, Court Oakes, Michael (Holly) Oakes, Karrie Oakes, and Erika Thompson; and the love of his life and best friend, Trisha Davis and her 3 children Corbin, Cole, and Cora.
