Janice Kauzlarich

Janice Kauzlarich, 92, of Ottawa, passed away Monday, July 24, 2023 at Pleasant View Lutheran Home in Ottawa.

Visitation will be Tuesday, August 1, from 10:00 until 11:30am at Ottawa Funeral Home. A funeral ceremony will be held at 11:30am at the funeral home with Pastor David Ufkes officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Memorial Park.

Janice was born January 23, 1931, in Sheridan, IL, to George and Mabel (Risk) Williams. She married Earl Kauzlarich on July 30, 1977 in Ottawa. He passed away November 15, 2014.

She worked for several years at CTS and later retired from Snap-On Tools in 1978. She enjoyed sewing and baking in her free time. Family was incredibly important to her. She loved their Norwegian family history and looking at old family photos. She and Earl enjoyed traveling, especially their trips to Florida and Hawaii. She attended Sheridan Methodist Church and Epworth Methodist Church for many years.

She is survived by her two daughters, Judy (John) Franz and Pam Kauzlarich-Bernardini; her grandchildren, Jen (Eric) Stratton, Julie (Frank) Funk, Tom (Katie) Mettile, Carley Bernardini, Joel Bernardini, and Zack Bernardini; as well as several great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Earl and his children, Karen Kauzlarich-Mettile and Ed Kauzlarich; her brother and sister in law, Jerry and Barbara Williams; and her nephew John Williams.

Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
