Janice Eye

June 3, 1932 — June 17, 2019

Janice E. Eye, 87, of Seneca passed away Monday, June 17, 2019 at Ottawa Pavilion.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 pm, Friday, June 21 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, with Pastor Kris Zierke officiating. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 pm, prior to services, Friday at the church. Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery.

Janice was born June 3, 1932 in Morris to Leon and Ruth (Thorson) Jackson. She married George Eye June 6, 1953 in Stavanger; he passed away January 27, 1998.

Janice was a longtime member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church. She loved playing cards and games, especially with her grandkids. She worked at the Seneca Grade School cafeteria and at Illinois Office Supply for many years.

She was loved deeply by her family and will be remembered for her sweet nature.

She is survived by four children, Gene (Candice) Eye, Linda Burke, Yvonne (Mark) Coss, and Keith (Amy) Eye; 8 grandchildren, Dalan (Amy) Eye, Adam (Doris) Burke, Ryan (Melissa) Burke, Calab Coss, Lora (Taylor) Himes, Anna Allison, Brandon Eye, and Marissa Eye; seven great-grandchildren, and one sister, Loretta Ostby.

She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.

Memorials may be directed to Our Savior's Lutheran Church or the Seneca Public Library.
