Jane Wielgopolan, 87, of Naplate, passed away Saturday, March 5, 2016 at LaSalle County Nursing Home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 am, Wednesday, March 9, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Naplate, with Father Tony Fevlo officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11:30 am, two hours prior to the services, at the church. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery. Ottawa Funeral Home & Crematory has been entrusted with arrangements.
Jane was born September 2, 1928 in Ottawa, Illinois to Frank and Gertrude (Duffy) McNamara. She married Edward Wielgopolan on July 24, 1954 at St. Mary Church in Naplate.
Jane retired as a nurse from Ottawa Care Center. She was a member of St. Mary's Church in Naplate.
She is survived by her husband; one daughter, Julie Wielgopolan, of Naplate; and her fury friend, Kirby.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved twin brother, Wayne McNamara; two sisters, Lucille Jugenitz, and Marjorie McNamara; and her uncle, Edgar Duffy.
Pallbearers will be Michael McNamara, Matt and Chris Pagakis, and Mike, Steve and Tim Wielgopolan. Honorary pallbearer will be Kirby Wielgopolan.
Memorials may be directed to LaSalle County Nursing Home or the Naplate Fire Dept.
