Jane (Gates) Barile

Jane A. Barile, 59, of Streator passed away Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Ottawa Funeral Home & Crematory has been entrusted with cremation rites.

Jane was born May 5, 1962, in Aurora, IL to Charles and Shelby (Secor) Gates. She married Brian Barile on July 28, 2007 in Norway, IL. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and crafting, especially wood burning. Jane was kind and caring, and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her mother, Shelby; her husband of 14 years, Brian; two daughters, Harmony and Melody Wroblewski; and seven grandchildren, Haley and Alexandrea Beyer, Ethan and Christopher Armstrong, Lauren Rauwolf, Nevaeh Harkins, and Asher Wroblewski-LeMier; and her siblings, Chuck (Jean) Gates, Dale (Cary) Gates, Glenda (Brad) Cotton, and Deanna Wallers. Jane was preceded in death by her father.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank-you to the caring staff of OSF Hospice.
