James Corrie Sr.

James E. Corrie Sr., 54, of Ottawa passed away Monday, April 25, 2011 at his home in Ottawa. Funeral Service will be 10:00 AM Friday, April 29, 2011 at Ottawa Funeral Home with David Damyen. Visitation will be 4:00 - 7:00 PM Thursday, April 28 at Ottawa Funeral Home. Burial will be in West Serena Cemetery. James was born February 9, 1957 in Ottawa, Illinois and was raised by his grandmother Lila Corrie. He married Dawn Flori April 28, 1975 in Marseilles, Illinois. He was a school bus driver until he retired due to his illness. He is survived by his wife, Dawn; two sons, James Jr. (Elaine) and Jason (Richelle) both of Ottawa; four grandchildren, Anthony Corrie, Austin Corrie, Cheryne Janke, and Danielle Gould. He is preceded in death by his mother. Pallbearers will be James Jr. and Jason Corrie, Tim and Chad Henson, Bill Rowlee, and James Jonassen. Honorary Pallbearers will be Anthony and Austin Corrie, and Chaz Jonassen. Memorials may be directed to The Red Stocking Fund.
