James Ruggerio

James J. Ruggerio, 80, of Ottawa passed away peacefully with family by his side Wednesday, February 21, 2018. Funeral Ceremony will be held at 6:00 pm Monday, February 26, 2018 at Ottawa Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff J. Windy officiating. Visitation will be 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Monday prior to services, at Ottawa Funeral Home. Jim was born January 18, 1938 in LaSalle, Illinois to Dominic and Tomasina (Inchiappi) Ruggerio. He married Luanna DeSpain August 24, 1963 at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Ottawa. James retired as a cement mason after 47 years of service. Jim was a devoted and loving husband and father who enjoyed his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his loving wife, Luanna; two children, Laurie Walter and Michelle (Jack) Hardy; four grandchildren, Elizabeth Walter, Christina Ruggerio, Nicholas Hardy, and Rachel Hardy; and one great grandson, Landon Hardy.
