James Madison Hensley Jr.

SENECA -- James Madison Hensley Jr., 76, of Seneca, died Sunday, Sept. 21, at Morris Hospital. Celebration of Jim's life will be conducted by family members at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Osborne-Nelson Funeral Home in Seneca. Following services, the American Legion Kasal Post 457 will present the flag. Cremation rites will be accorded following the services. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. He was born Feb. 22, 1932, in Monroe County, W. Va., to James and Thelma (Muncie) Hensley. He first was married to Clivine Martin. She died in 1975. He married Lois (Voga) Nelson on April 18, 1981. She survives. He graduated from grade school and high school in Sciotoville, Ohio. He was an electrician and member of IBEW Local 611 in Albuquerque, N.M., and Local 176 in Joliet. He served in the U.S. Air Force from December 1949 to June 1953. He was a member of the Moose and Elks. Survivors include his wife; twin daughters, Paulette (Robert) Mason of Cartersville, Ga., and Claudette Britton of Tucson, Ariz.; stepdaughters, Deborah (Gregory) Anderson of Seneca, Dawn Pressler of Coralville, Iowa, Diane Santo of Oneco, Fla., and Donna Nelson of Maderia Beach, Fla.; grandchildren, Amanda and Josh Mason of Cartersville and Billy, Paul and Jonathon Butler of Tucson; stepgrandchildren, Chad Anderson of Chicago, Miranda (Jason) Brockman of Verona and Seth, Jade and Dewey; one great-granddaughter, Jordan Thompson of Carterville; two stepgreat-grandchildren, Isaac and Ethan Brockman; two sisters, Emma Lou Kepplinger and Belle Atkinson of Portsmith, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, his parents and one brother, Floyd Hensley. Pallbearers will be Greg and Chad Anderson, Jason, Miranda, Isaac and Ethan Brockman, Bruce Roaks and Bill Vajdeh. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Anderson, Josh Mason, Jack Stubblefield, Harlan "Shorty" Neimann, Dick Weisgarber and Doug Brewster.
