James Thomas "Tom" Greve, 66, of Seneca, died Saturday, July 5, at St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church in Seneca with the Rev. Thomas Bourke officiating. Cremation rites will be accorded at his request, with burial later in Mount Hope. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Osborne-Nelson Funeral Home in Seneca and one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church. He was born Feb. 14, 1942, in Tuscola, to Montelle and Margaret (Rairden) Greve. He married Rosie Fults on Aug. 17, 1969, at Cartwright Methodist Church in Tuscola. He worked for Narvick Lumber in Morris since 2001, before that he worked for Graves Lumber in Seneca from 1972 to 2001, prior to that he was an industial arts teacher at Seneca High School from 1967 to 1972. He was a sitting trustee for Manlius Township for eight years and served on the Seneca High School Board of Education for 19 years. He graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science in industrial arts in 1967. He is survived by his wife; two sons, Eric (Angela) Greve of Morris and Jason (Donna) of Seneca; five grandchildren, Hunter, Connor, Tyler, Lexi and Carly Greve; one sister, Janet (Wayne) Benner of Livingston, Texas; and one brother, Charlie (Anna) Greve of Chrisman. He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorials may be directed to programs at First United Methodist Church in Seneca.
