James Bloom

James Bloom, 65, of Ottawa, IL died Tuesday, December 8, 2020.

Jim was born June 2, 1955 to Arley “Ben” Bloom and Jane (Gende) Bloom.  He graduated Ottawa Township High School class of 1973 and worked for IBEW Local 176 as a journeyman electrician until retiring in 2017.

He enjoyed music, cue sports, and gardening.

He was survived by his mother who later died January 9, 2021, his sister Cathy (Michael) Leslie of Oswego, his brother Joseph Bloom of Joliet, niece Kim, nephew Scott, three great-nephews and one great-niece.

He was preceded in death by his father in 2011.

Per his request, Jim was cremated and no services were held.
