James Barron

James Barron, 67, of Lostant, IL, passed away Saturday, July 31, 2021 at his home, surrounded by his family.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am Saturday, August 14, at St. Francis of Assisi Church, with Rev. David Kipfer officiating. A private burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery. Cremations rites have been accorded to Ottawa Funeral Home.

Jim was born April 18, 1954, in Ottawa, IL, to Paul and Gertrude (Arnold) Barron. He married Anita Foster on February 29, 2016 in Galena, IL.

Jim loved to ride his motorcycle. He took any chance he could to get out and ride. He retired from Northern Partners in Tonica, IL.

He is survived by his wife, Anita, his three children, Zachary Barron, Shawna Gadd, and Caleb Barron; his eight grandchildren; and his siblings, Robert, Art, Paul, Jon, and Brent (Anne) Barron and Nancy (Paul) Meyer.

James was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Michael Barron.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to his wife to help cover expenses.
