J. Lewis Gaudi

J. Lewis Gaudi, 88, of Marseilles, Illinois, passed away Saturday, June 28, 2014 at Ottawa Pavilion. Mass of Christian Burial was held 11:00 am Tuesday July 1, 2014 at St. Joseph Church in Wedron on Tuesday with Rev. John Waugh officiating. Lewis was born December 19, 1925 in Ottawa, Illinois to John and Anna (Francisetti) Gaudi. He married Dorothy (Passwater) Matlock on Sept. 19, 1974 in Brownsville, Texas. Lewis owned and operated Gaudi TV and Service. He is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy; his family, Luanne (Jimmy) Nosko of Branson Mo., John (Sharon) Gaudi of Bensenville IL., Linda Baity of Mokena, IL. Francis (Carol) Gaudi of Lockport, IL., Cindy Demes of Peru, IL., Karen Natarelli of Milwaukee WI., Nancy (Robert) Alvarado of Ottawa, and Robert ( Joan Wonders) Matlock of Seneca; twenty grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; one sister, Irene Harber; and a special niece, Jan Farst both of SanBenito TX . He is preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Joseph and James Gaudi; one brother, Neal Gaudi; and a granddaughter. Pallbearers were Jack, Francis, Eric, and Adam Gaudi, Bob Matlock and Jamey Mertel. Memorials may be directed to St. Joseph Church in Wedron or donors choice.
