Irene Sheedy

Irene Sheedy, 86, of Wheaton, IL, passed away Sunday, July 13, 2014 at Brighton Gardens in Wheaton, Illinois. Mass will be held at 10:00 am July 17, 2014 at Seneca's St. Patrick's Church in Seneca IL, with Father Ray Guthrie officiating. Visitation will be July 16, 2014 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Knollcrest Funeral Home located at 1500 S. Meyers Road in Lombard and also Thursday, July 17, 2014 at Seneca's St. Patrick's Church from 9:00 am to 10:00 am prior to services. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery in Seneca. Irene was born May 31, 1928 in Beaver Dam, WI to Robert and Veronica (Roethle) Ruhland. She married Bernard James Sheedy in October of 1959 in Wisconsin. Irene was a medical secretary. She was a member of Delta Theta Tau sorority and the Red Hat Society. . She is survived by a son, Dan (Melissa) Sheedy of Oak Lawn; a daughter, Mary (Richard) Pivek of Lisle; and a daughter, Karen (Scott) Johnson of Ft. Worth TX; 8 Grandchildren and 1 Great-Grandchild. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son; Kevin Sheedy, two sisters; Armella White and Agnes Fuller and two brothers; Norbert Ruhland and Ray Ruhland.
