Irene A. Garrison, 96, of Seneca passed away Thursday, April 28, 2011 at River Shores in Marseilles. Memorial service will be 10:00AM Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Marseilles with Pastor Dustin Anderson officiating. Visitation will be 4:00 - 7:00PM Tuesday, April 3 at Osborne-Nelson Funeral Home in Seneca. She will be interred in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, Illinois. Osborne-Nelson Funeral Home oversaw the cremation. Irene was born May 28, 1914 in Pierce, Nebraska to Joseph and Kathryn (Nieman) Zach. She married Ernest Garrison November 8, 1942. She worked at Prairie Lakes as a waitress. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and Gold Star Sister in the American Legion. She is survived by one daughter, Joan (James) Claggett; one son, Robert (Elizabeth) Garrison; seven grandchildren, Jim, David (Keri), and Anne Claggett, Karista (Denver) Rummenie, Scott (Tammy), Steven, and Daniel (Sarah) Garrison; five great-grandchildren, John, Jerald, Danielle, and Adam Claggett, and Corey Garrison; one great-great grandchild, Sierra Berg. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ernest; and her eight eiblings. Memorials may be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church or donor's choice.
