Irene C. Donahue, 92, of Ottawa, IL, formerly of Ophir Twp. died, Friday, August 7, 2009 at Pleasant View. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at St. Patrick's Church, with the Rev. Philip Halfacre and Rev. Chris Haake officiating. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday with Prayers at 4:00 PM at Ottawa Funeral Home. Irene Donahue was born Saturday, May 12, 1917, in Waltham Twp., To Vincent and Florence (O'Connor) Aubry. She married John P. Donahue on January 28, 1941 at St. Mary Church in Utica, he died April 21, 2007. She was a member of St. Patrick Church in Ottawa and the Catholic Daughters of America and Past President of PTO at Waltham Grade School, and Charter member of the Variety Card Club in Waltham. She is survived by two sons Ronald (Becky) Donahue and Roger (Kate) Donahue both of Earlville, IL., Seven grandchildren Renae Hollingsworth, Janelle Stegman, Brittany Donahue, Jason, Adam, Clinton Donahue and Tara Bruenderman and Three Great-Grandchildren Lane, Kole Stegman, Rylie Melissa Donahue; three Step Grandchildren Susan Morgansen, Sara Thompson & Emily Mitchell and Four Step Great-Grandchildren; Two Sisters Marie Sexton, Helen Spaulding both of Ottawa and one Brother Harold (Marge) Aubry of Utica. She was preceded in death by her husband one grandson Eric Donahue, Two Brothers Vincent and Ray Aubry and one Sister Evelyn McGinnis Pallbearers will be Adam, Jason and Clinton Donahue, Drew Bruendermand, Jerry Sexton and Jim Spaulding . Memorials may be directed to American Cancer Association.
