OTTAWA -- Irene V. Conger, 93, of Ottawa, died Wednesday, Jan. 2, at Community Hospital of Ottawa. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Ottawa Funeral Home with the Rev. Polly Klimson officiating. Burial will be in Prairie Center Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services, with Eastern Star services at 10:30 a.m., at the funeral home. Miss Conger was born Oct. 16, 1914, in Ottawa, to William and Vola (Stage) Conger. She was a retired nurse from Dr. Maierhofers' Medical Office. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, the Eastern Stars and the White Shrine for more than 50 years. She also was a volunteer for the Red Cross, NOAH and Shared Foods. She is survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Ira Conger II and Theron Kidney. Pallbearers will be her nephews.
