Idella Lockridge Nelson

Idella M.Lockridge Nelson, 85, of Seneca, IL, died, Thursday, April 23, 2009 at Ottawa Regional Hospital and Healthcare Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2:00 PM Sunday, April 26, 2009 at Osborne-Nelson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Duane Kaufman officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery in Wyanet, Illinois. Memorial Services will be at 2:00 pm, Sunday April 26 at Osborne-Nelson Funeral Home. Idella Lockridge Nelson was born March 31, 1924, in Princeton, Illinois, to the late Roland Pierce and the late Lovie May Thompson. She married the late Jim Lockridge on 1946 in Ottawa. He died in 1978. She then married Clyde Nelson in 1984. He died in 1995. She worked for Dr. Mullen for 16 years as his office Nurse, served in the Cadet Nurse Corp. rehabilitating wounded WW II soldiers, was a member of First United Methodist Church of Seneca and also served on Election Boards. She is survived by one son; Jon (Carolyn) Lockridge of Seneca, six Grandchildren and three Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 1 daughter, Tonya Sue Mitchell, 1 sister and a brother.
