Ida Debernardi

Ida Debernardi, 92, of Ottawa, died Monday, Aug. 25, at La Salle County Nursing Home. Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Ottawa Funeral Home with the Rev. David Kipfer officiating. Burial will be private. Visitation will be one hour prior to services Thursday at the funeral home. Cremation rites were accorded. She was born Feb. 1, 1916, in Ottawa, to Pasquali and Jenny (Melini) Giacomini. She married Dieci Debernardi on July 24, 1935, in Morris. He died May 8, 1992. Survivors include two sons, Jerome and Rick (Delores) Debernardi, both of Ottawa; five grandchildren, Jason, Jeremy and Janelle Debernardi and Jeanine and Jeanette Hartigan; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; two brothers, John and Butch Giacomini; and a sister, "Tini" Harlow.
