Howard "Randy" Clemens

Howard "Randy" Clemens, 68, of Ottawa, passed away Friday, March 8, 2024 at Morris Hospital.

Private services will be held. Cremation rites have been entrusted to Ottawa Funeral Home.

Randy was born July 12, 1955, in Wheeling, West Virginia, to John and Norma (Meintel) Clemens. He married Catherine Thorne on January 26, 1980 in Joliet, IL.

Randy worked for ComEd as a turbine operator at the Will County Station for over 40 years. When he wasn't working, he enjoyed going camping, traveling and going on several cruises, he especially enjoyed his trip to Alaska. He liked listening to rock music and was an animal lover at heart. In his younger days he played baseball and football and was a Bears and Pirates fan. He was always outgoing and fun and always had a joke at the ready.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Cathy; his children, Tonya (Bryan) Gunty and Carmen Clemens; and his brothers, Wade and Matt Clemens. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Shelly Doman.
