Helen B. Miller

Helen Miller, 75, of Ottawa, Il, passed away Wednesday, July 14, 2010, at her home. Funeral services will be 6:30 pm Friday at Ottawa Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Miller officiating. Visitation will be 4:00 to 6:30 on Friday at the Ottawa Funeral Home. Cremation rites will be accorded. Helen was born February, 24, 1935 in Ottawa, Il, to Alfred and Bessie (Cox) Gretencord. She married Richard Miller Sr. on September 20, 1963, in Ottawa. He died December 31, 1999. Helen is survived by four sons, Richard Jr. "Rick" (Pat) and Bob (Kathi), both of Ottawa, Tom (Lorraine) of Yorkville, and Rev. Gary (Robin) of Iowa City; seven grandchildren; Rodney Miller, Amy (Steve) Brenbarger, Elizabeth (Declan) Cooney, Becky (Adam) Poutre, Kristine and Ross Miller, and Kelli Miller; seven great grandchildren; and two brothers, Richard (Linda) Gretencord and Melvin "Dutch" Gretencord both of Ottawa. Helen is preceded in death by her husband; six sisters, Sally, Betty, Marie, Annabelle, Frances, and Phyllis; and four brothers, Alfred, John, Jim, and LaVerne. Memorials may be directed to Red Stocking Fund.
