Hasmukhbhai Ambalal Patel, 69, passed away on September 17, 2026. He was born on August 23, 1957, and leaves behind a lifetime of love, laughter, and memories that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
A visitation for Hasmukhbhai will be held on Tuesday, September 22, 2026 at Ottawa Funeral Home from 10:00 to 11:00 am. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 am.
Hasmukhbhai was a devoted husband and a wonderful father. He is survived by his beloved wife, Jaya Patel, and his daughters, Bhumi Patel and Trupti Begly.
Throughout his life, Hasmukhbhai dedicated himself to helping others. He worked as a teacher in India before continuing his career in customer service. No matter where life took him, caring for others was always a natural part of who he was.
Some of Hasmukhbhai's favorite things in life were simple ones: eating ice cream, laughing, dancing, looking through old picture albums, and most of all, spending time with his family. He found joy in being surrounded by the people he loved.
He was a deeply loving and caring father who would do anything for his family. There were countless moments when he and his daughters laughed together, cried together, and shared the emotions of life side by side. His ability to feel deeply and love wholeheartedly is something his daughters carry with them today.
In his later years, Parkinson's disease took away many of the things that once brought him joy and changed so much of the person he was able to be. But it could never take away the love he had given his family or the memories they had created together. His family will always remember the loving, caring, joyful father he was-the man who laughed, danced, enjoyed his ice cream, looked through family photographs, and treasured being together.
Hasmukhbhai's greatest legacy is the love he gave to his family. Though his absence leaves an immeasurable emptiness, his laughter, his love, and the countless memories they shared will live on forever.
He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
May he rest in eternal peace.
